We are now looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, dedicated, professional Registered Manager for our 7 bed children s home in London Borough of Camden. We are seeking someone with a minimum of 2-3 years management experience and experience of working with young people aged 11-17 who exhibit EBD As a company we put our young people first and believe in providing a positive environment where they can grow to their full potential and so the right person would share our values and ethos. We work closely with other appropriate agencies and professionals and the quality and professionalism of our staff is therefore of paramount importance. Main Purpose of Post: Registered Managers are accountable for delivering high quality care and safe guarding the children and young people living in the home. This means that they are responsible for delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning monitoring of the home with full managerial oversite and development of the home. They will demonstrate the ability to build on the principles of care, Knowledge and implementation of the SCCIF across the service, enhance all areas of the standards, and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of childcare provided. Registered Managers are responsible for delivering childcare that is focussed on the child in a child centred way, striving and obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home. Consequently, demonstrating practical leadership Skills across the multie faceted roll, as well as crucial delegation and leadership to support the team to reach their possible best intern they deliver the best for each young person. This involves being personally available dedicated and committed to the children, home and team as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation and oversite of work patterns, and facilitation of care focussed training, and accessing of appropriate external services to support and enhance the childcare practices within the home. The ideal candidate will hold a leadership in management qualification up to the level 5 and CYP caring for young people up to level 3 .Two years of experience of supervising and managing a team, excellent written - verbal communication skills and leadership skills are essential qualities. Knowledge of the Children s Act 1989 and Care Standards Act 2000 relating to Children s Homes Regulations is required along with safeguarding procedures. While the home manager is employed for 40 per week, they are expected to arrange their own work rota which may involve evening, weekend and night shifts duties. The home manager is wholly responsible for ensuring an appropriate staff presence to meet the childcare needs of the children and young people in the home. The post is subject to a six month probationary period. Annual leave is 28 days per annum this includes Bank Holidays, with an additional day added for the first three years. The company has a government workplace pension scheme which can be joined following successful completion of probation period. Laptop and Mobile Phone Provided A car may be available for use with a petrol allowance of £25 per week, or a travel allowance depending on preference. The post is subject to three months notice on either side other than for disciplinary or malpractice issues. Local parking permit provided.
