Project Manager Role: Agile Project Owner and Asset Servicing. £750 day 12 months and rolling contract. MUST have Project management experience within financial services MUST have Agile exposure Must have experience within Asset Servicing. Role/ Department: The Project Manager will act as an Agile Product Owner, owning the co-ordination of options and solutions and managing a team of change SMEs to drive the delivery of initiatives in the Market Access space. Working closely with Partners in Product, Business and Technology Architecture and Operations they will define and estimate deliveries, agree the vision and then drive through to delivery. Initiatives will be a combination of Traditional and Agile methodologies, the PM will need the flexibility and experience to shift between or blend models as required depending on the teams involved. The key responsibilities of the role include: Leads the creation of the project plan and responsible for the execution of the plan. Ensures delivery of high quality solutions against strategic plans, managing cost, quality and time Plans, schedules and oversees execution of the project Proactively monitors progress, resolving issues and managing interdependencies between other work streams of the project including other transformational programmes that may be impacted, initiating corrective action as appropriate In conjunction with IT and the relevant areas ensure appropriate scheduling of project deliverables to meet the plan Negotiates priorities as necessary and escalate issues appropriately by understanding the most effective path towards resolution Collaborate and communicate with third parties, executive sponsors and senior management stakeholders and partner groups in particular the supported business function to ensure that all initiatives are efficiently managed and delivered Build credible, trusted advisor relationships with the key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and also third parties Delivers regular written and verbal progress reports which present a concise, accurate status of the project, ensuring a consistent status is communicated up to the overall programme Skills/ Qualifications: Proven experience of managing complex project implementations with multiple systems involved, including vendor managed systems Detail oriented, strong problem solving, advanced judgment capability and an in depth understanding and experience of business and technology life cycle Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills with sufficient gravitas and credibility to work with the other PM's on the project to manage resources and dependencies across multiple regions and time zones Ability to partner with vendors, 3rd parties, customers, colleagues and develop positive working relationships to create an open positive working environment Financial industry knowledge Some knowledge of the role of a Global Custodian including an understanding of: Trade Process, Income, Corporate Actions, Cash, Payments, Stock Lending, Tax, Reconciliations Looking for an experienced Project manager with knowledge of Custody or Asset Servicing. Able to manage senior stakeholders but also dive into detail as required to resolve issues and remove roadblocks
