Project Co-ordinator Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire £28,000 Plus excellent benefits A specialist construction consultancy that works in the healthcare sector are seeking a Project Co-ordinator to join their team in Bourne End. The company have developed experienced and effective project management teams. Working with local and national government healthcare departments, the private sector and building contractors, our accomplishments include flagship schemes such as new theatres, major refurbishments, and MSCPs. We are increasingly branching in to more Operational Projects such as office relocations and process improvement implementation. They work with clients mainly across London and the Home Counties to provide improved and affordable healthcare locations aligned to evolving clinical service and health care economy needs With projects ranging from £(phone number removed) £(phone number removed) as a Project Co-ordinator you are given the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience and achievement covering a number of aspects across the Operational Business, Consultancy and Construction worlds. Role requirements Perform general administrative tasks, supporting the Project Manager as required. Work as part of the project management team assisting with various project applications. Assisting project management team with production of Programmes. Administration of the company s document control systems. Maintaining electronic/paper filing systems for all project records. Attendance of meetings at site and/or external offices as requested by the Project Manager. Booking and organisation of meetings Writing minutes for meeting attended with summarised action points. Pre-meeting preparation of documentation and relevant updates. Ensure Project Managers action points from all meetings are addressed/bought to attention before set deadlines /next scheduled meeting. Monitoring and correlating of incoming emails and informing Project Director in precis format of all project requests/problems with time critical reporting when required. Monitor project progress and bring to the Project Directors attention any issues that arise in a timely manner. Proactive production of regular Progress reports as required for various projects for review by Project Manager before publication. Liaison and professional communication verbally and in writing with suppliers, customers and sub- contractors. Act as first point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders after referral to Project Manager. Skills and experience desired Proficient in IT packages, MS Excel, Word & Outlook. A sound knowledge of MS Project software would be advantageous. Solid organisational skills including multitasking, time management and follow up. An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step by step action plans. Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control is beneficial. Should be a fast learner with the ability to work on their own initiative. Needs to be very punctual and reliable. Professionally minded in all matters with adherence to reporting structures and responsibilities of Line Managers in respect of decision making and client liaison Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and an ability to communicate information effectively.
