Job title: Plant Paint Process Manager Reports to: Paint Area Manager Salary: £45k - £52K Location: Cheshire We are working with a world leader who provide innovative solutions for a more connected and sustainable mobility. The Role: As Paint Process Manager you will be responsible for deploying the set industrial Paint standards within the plant, and follow, stabilize and optimize those processes and results. You will participate in the launch of all new product and process introductions, along with new paint line and robot installations, in addition to managing the paint supplier activities Key responsibilities of the Paint Process Manager: Follow-up all Engineering changes concerning the introduction of new colours from paint supplier selection to final customer validation Lead colour improvement progress plan Support Colour/Aspect Harmony with the customers Manage paint supplier through continuous improvement and ensure that paint incoming process is respected Support paint stock coverage and consignment activities with logistics team and put in place robust control system Support new projects launches in line with requirements and validate each step of the introduction Control and optimize process parameters Stabilize and optimize painting area performance (paint consumption, scraps reduction) Test and validate technical solutions (Projects, changes in the plant, equipment supplier) Analyse process failures and put corrective actions in place Participate in continuous improvement activities and productivity Participate in paint assessment Develop the paint processes and systems ensuring a framework that will achieve world class standards of quality and service to the Customer and to achieve environmental compliance Own the paint process FMEA for your area and make sure that standardised work practices are being used Establish effective communication channels with the team to develop knowledge, and ensure consistent business goals Ensure quality standards are maintained by the Paint team Work with other departments to support and solve joint problems Support with coaching and training within the Paint team Experience and Qualifications: Diploma / BEng in Engineering and/or Plastics Technology Ability to lead, coach and engage teams Previous experience in a similar role within Manufacturing (desirable) Previous experience in a similar role within Automotive (desirable) Paint experience and colorimetry management knowledge (essential) Experience with the management of large production equipment (desirable) Benefits of the role: 10% Employer Pension contribution 25 holidays (plus statutory) 4 x salary Life Insurance Early finish on a Friday Please contact Amy Swain on (phone number removed), alternatively email your CV to
