It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely for three (3) or more days a week and will share a hoteling workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

About this Role:

The Lead Developer, Technology supports the Enterprise Shared Services Work Hub Integration delivery teams and is well skilled in the design of business functions, applications, information and infrastructure architectures, coding, testing and debugging. You are able to train, coach and mentor developers and analysts of varying level of experience regarding methods, procedures, tools, work aids and standards. You have experience implementing dev ops techniques including CI / CD and test automation, are familiar with modern development practices and principles as well as, cloud-hosted infrastructure. You will make informed decisions regarding technologies, application architecture and, implementation strategies and guide the team, stakeholders and product owners. You operate with an agile mindset, are customer focused, are learning orientated and above all else, like to dig in and help where needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Influence technical discussion and decisions of new solutions and architectures.
  • Build and maintain systems with current and emerging technologies while leveraging and expanding system capabilities.
  • Provide creative solutions to cross platform technical problems.
  • Partner with customers to establish requirements and close identified gaps.
  • Provide strong problem-solving skills, methodology and approach and review problems by using experience, analytical skills and creative thinking to develop solutions.
  • Lead and/or participate in structured walkthroughs, technical reviews, strategic planning and roadmapping efforts.
  • Create documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, layouts, and charts to demonstrate sound solutions.
  • Provide onsite and offsite support for the processing cycles of production systems.
  • Some evening and/or weekend work required to support production deployments, critical incidents, or critical projects.
  • Support the Scrum Masters in adhering to Agile Scrum best practices.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance in technical matters for all members of the development team.
  • Design and implement effective APIs.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software and hardware problems across the application portfolio.
  • Manage and maintain application and software lifecycle.
  • Ensure critical applications are optimized for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Works efficiently on several initiatives and projects at once.

Experience & Skills:

  • Systems and application development including design, development, execution, and support
  • Ability to assess current technology environments to identify and document opportunities and gaps, including modernization of legacy systems
  • Strong understanding of network topologies
  • Integration technologies and architecture such as SOA, API, and Microservices
  • Experience in cloud-based compute, database and storage solutions
  • Experience in the banking/financial services industry preferred
  • Experience in workflow/Case Management and Document Repositories
  • Experience administering software applications with direct experience installing releases, upgrades, patches and mitigating vulnerabilities
  • Working knowledge of Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development
  • Ability to write quality unit, functional and automated tests

Education & Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computers Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 8-10 years development experience
  • Minimum 3 years in a Solution Architect/Lead Developer/Tech Lead role
  • AWS or Cloud experience
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and tools
