The Information Security Analyst Role:
As our Information Security Analyst, you will be required to manage all in-house InfoSec tools and technologies such as endpoint protection, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, monitoring and alerting tools, ensuring they are well maintained and remain fit-for-purpose.
You will lead on the management of third-party InfoSec partners, ensuring they are providing the best possible service and quality assuring their work.
You will deliver InfoSec reports, papers and presentations to senior leaders, both staff and volunteers, across the organisation as well as delivering presentations to staff in a variety of settings including all staff meetings, service team meetings and induction courses.
Key responsibilities as our Information Security Analyst:
Provide subject matter expertise on all InfoSec mattersReview and update all InfoSec policies to ensure they remain current and accurate, ensuring sign-off through the Scouts' governance processesSupport the annual review and audit process for the ISO27001 accreditation and any future accreditationsTechnology team lead on all InfoSec incidents such as reports of data breach, working in close liaison with colleagues in other teamsProvide InfoSec guidance on all digital/technology projects and procurement activities, ensuring all products and services meet the Scouts' InfoSec standards and principlesCurate and present InfoSec reports to stakeholders at all levels in the organisation including ELT, senior volunteers, trustees and governance groups as requiredManage, maintain and monitor the Scouts' network and endpoint devices using a variety of InfoSec tools and technologiesEnsure the tools and technologies used are kept up to date and fit for purpose, sourcing new tools as requiredLead point of contact for any third-party InfoSec service providers used by the ScoutsStay up to date with technology trends and InfoSec standardsWhat we are looking for in our Information Security Analyst:
Highly developed skills in the use of a variety of InfoSec tools including firewalls, DDoS appliances, vulnerability scanning and intrusion detection toolsAbility to work in a fast-paced setting to quickly identify and resolve InfoSec risks or vulnerabilitiesAbility to work in collaboration with third-party suppliers and vendors to ensure delivery of highquality InfoSec servicesStrong ability to operate autonomously and make key decisions in challenging or critical situationsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex InfoSec problems and reports clearly to non-technical colleagues, and in non-technical termsThe ability to build strong relationships with a range of technology professionals and suppliersAn analytical mindset with the ability to find solutions and make decisions around complex technical issuesWhat we can offer you as our Information Security Analyst:
