Inclusive Learning Manager London £21.00 - £24.50 per hour PAYE, umbrella available Immediate start full time 2 months initially DBS within 12 months or on the update service Our client, a leading FE college in London, is seeking an Inclusive Learning Manager to start immediately. The role will be to: Ensure inclusive support arrangements are managed effectively for all learners including those that do not receive high needs funding. Supporting the Head of Inclusive Leaning in managing the overall Learning Inclusion Service to meet the College s Strategic and Operational objectives within budget. Lead, develop, and manage high quality, cost effective admissions and support service for learners requiring Additional Needs Work in partnership with Specialist Services, both internally and externally alongside curriculum colleagues to ensure support is of a consistent high standard. Lead, develop and manage the implementation of relevant legislation in relation to young people at College. Managing assessment of learners for inclusive support requirements including maths and English access arrangements. Main Purpose and Responsibilities Maintain accountability for the delivery of the Support Service s agreed targets in particular retention, achievement, High Needs support funding and all other funding sources. Manage links with Special Schools and Local Authorities for the successful transition of learners with High Needs Support into and out of Further Education. Manage the high needs support funding and commissioning process, which includes delivery of person centred, aspirational Education, Health and Care Plans (ECHP) and Annual Reviews in partnership with the Group s Commissioning Team, Local Authorities and external agencies. Take responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the budget and income targets across all funding sources, room allocation and staffing resources allocated to the service. Develop, initiate, promote and sustain innovative and quality improvement strategies that will provide a rich and stretching learning experience for learners, and initiate improvements in learner recruitment, retention, achievement and progression. Manage and review inclusion provision to ensure that future support is consistent with College objectives, funding, learner recruitment targets and measures for success; and meets local authority contractual arrangements. Develop and maintain accurate and timely records, for example the college quality standards, funding requirements, self-assessment, inspections, observations and skills audit to ensure a consistent high quality service for learners. Manage the data process to the Administration team to ensure the timely collection, accurate input and analysis of support data; undertaking rigorous activity to ensure it is properly reflected on the College s Support database, to meet monthly reporting deadlines. Lead on the implementation of inclusive risk assessment and PEEPS within the area and work with other Vocational teams, Health & Safety Officers and curriculum areas to adhere to best practice. Ensure all team members are compliant with relevant annual updating and internal CPD requirements. Lead, motivate and develop staff, in order to provide opportunities for staff to maximise their potential and improve their professionalism by ensuring that their skills and abilities maximise student experience and success. Undertake mentoring and support for team members who are either new or who have been identified through the observation process as delivering less than good in professional practice. Work with the Quality and Innovation team to deliver staff development training to enable both teaching and support staff to respond effectively to the needs of learners. Continually update and improve professional knowledge. Ensure effective communication with all staff and within all teams across the service. Be a member of the Safeguarding Team, in order to support the high number of disclosures and cause for concerns in this area
