Job Title: Facilities & Maintenance Manager Salary: 40k-45k per annum Location: Amersham, Bucks HP7 Flexible Start - Parking onsite - Near Met Line - Cycle to work - Pension - Early Friday Finish Job Purpose Working in our busy Property team, this role will have full responsibility for maintenance and facilities of the central and retail estate. You will be responsible for the effective delivery of maintenance services to the portfolio of stores, the central offices and warehouses across the UK. You will use your experience of facilities management and your understanding of the business to build and implement initiatives and ideas to deliver improved efficiencies as the business expands. You will be an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Manager with at least 3-5 years experience in a multisite retail or similar type of business. Adept at managing budgets and getting best value from your contractors, you will be a people person and have experience of negotiating and agreeing contracts. You will be comfortable in setting high standards for yourself and your teams. You will be forward thinking, be able to plan and implement pro-active and re-active service plans to tight budgets and controls. Responsibilities Deliver good customer service for planned and reactive maintenance across the retail estate. Build external relationships with key contractors to provide value for money service contracts with accountable SLA s. You will plan and manage the budget plans and spend across planned and reactive maintenance contracts. With annual and quarterly reviews. Manage all utility contracts providing detail of usage and making recommendations to control usage and manage costs across stores and central operation. Central and warehouse support and management of requested repairs, and 3rd party contracts. Build and implement new initiatives to improve efficiency across the estate as the business develops. Support and / or implement key building/ maintenance projects across the business. Regularly communicate and provide essential update to Heads of Department. Be the point of contact for all building and support service issues. Skills Minimum 3-5 years Facilities and Maintenance Retail or similar experience. BIFM qualification preferred but NOT essential Excellent understanding and knowledge of maintenance, contractor tender and cost planning. Managing national multi sites including retail stores, head office and warehouse locations essential Ability to review, develop and improve internal processes with a track record of implementing best practice and SOP s, in line with business growth. Excellent working knowledge of legal, H&S and compliance documentation.
