Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of School of Radiology Technology Current State of Mississippi Licensure Current Registry of AART Skills are measured by:

Observation and verbal feedback from customers, employees, directors and vendors. Review of documentation including time and attendance and other payroll records. Skill Identified

1) Quality of Work

Consistently performs quality radiology exams at a technical level of maintaining a high standard of patient care and confidentiality.
  • Performs necessary paperwork and/or computer functions (PACS) for completion of exam.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality correct orientation and patient identification.
  • Participates in Quality improvement.
  • Assist Cardiologists in the performance of exams and performs using a sterile technique.
  • Correctness of patient radiology records. 2)Quantity of Work Consistently demonstrates appropriate quantity of work as evidenced by:
  • Completing all assigned duties.
  • Accepting additional assignments willingly; delegating functions according to needs of the unit and staff.
  • Adapting to change and prioritizing work.
  • Assisting staff members to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality measures as indicated by performance dashboard results. 3) Job Knowledge Exhibits knowledge of job and pursues professional growth, judgment and decision-making as evidenced by:
  • Completes HealthStream assignments in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining current unit specific competencies.
  • Assisting with orientation of staff members and the teaching of students as needed.
  • Seeking/soliciting the help of or guidance from immediate supervisor or appropriate resource person.
  • Performing duties in an independent manner with little or no direct supervision.
  • Participates as a preceptor as needed.
  • Participates in educational opportunities in use of new equipment and/or procedure.
  • Adheres to safety radiation and infection control policies.
  • Displays proficiency in operation of imaging equipment and computers in assigned area. 4) Attendance & Reliability Demonstrating attendance and reliability as evidenced by:
  • Willing to adjust personal schedule in case of a real department need (work late, work extra shift).
  • Being on time and ready to work at the start of the shift.
  • Rotating shifts as required including weekends and holidays.
  • Utilizing ID badge to clock in and out.
  • Attending work with minimal occurrences.
