Data Analyst Location: Nottingham Parking: Not Specified Job Type: Temporary Duration of booking: On going with no specific end date Proposed start date: ASAP Sector: Healthcare Base: Hospital Band: 4 Pay Rates: £11.00 - £12.00 paye per hour £12.00 - £13.00 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour £13.00 - £14.00 umbrella per hour Working Days and Hours: Monday - Friday, 08.:00 Job Summary To analyse and collect data and produce specific statistical reports that supports the Pathway in evidencing performance against key Trust targets and future forecasting of service activity levels. The post holder will be based within the Clinical Support Division in the Therapies and Rehabilitation Pathway at NUH; and may be required to work at the QMC or NCH Campuses. Duties To analyse information, produce reports working with complex and sensitive data and contribute to projects in a timely and accurate manner to help facilitate decision-making and business strategy development under the direction of the Service General Manager and Service/Pathway Business Analyst. To liaise with a wide range of people at all levels of organisations to facilitate the obtaining, maintenance and use of data across a diverse range of databases. To work in conjunction with the Service General Manager and Service/Pathway Business Analyst and other relevant staff to produce monthly team activity reports for managers and clinicians. Extract and present information from trust systems in accordance with ad hoc as well as routine information inquiries. To critically appraise developments within IT and make recommendations for improvements across the service. Initiate agreed improvement in the use of information systems and data across the service To support the introduction and implementation of new information technology systems across the service. To represent the service at operational meetings with key stakeholder. Ensure data confidentiality and security is maintained through familiarity with security and confidentiality policy and ensuring that the post holder s work activities conform to local policy and guidance. To be responsible for data validation and reconciliation exercises, data quality, exception reporting and appropriate liaison with data providers. To use analysis and interpretational skills to interrogate activity reports and provide explanations of variation from planned levels to the management team. Undertake data quality checks against the data extracts and imports and identify then repair any data inconsistencies/ errors
