We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Customer Service Advisor to join the team based in Poole on a part time basis. In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £18,737 (pro rata).

About the Customer Service Advisor role:The Customer Services team provides a friendly, welcoming and effective front of house service both through the College Enquiry Centre and on Reception dealing with enquiries from customers, students and colleagues.

The Customer Service Advisors role is responding to calls on the College Enquiry Centre and the enquiry emails from our website. The role is based within Reception and will involve covering the Reception desk when required.

Responsibilities as our Customer Service Advisor:

  • Be the first point of contact for incoming telephone calls, answering queries, use of Live Chat and providing initial information, as required.
  • Process all customer enquiries in a timely and responsive manner in line with College standards offering outstanding levels of service.
  • Deal with messages left on the voicemail in accordance with procedures.
  • Maintain an up-to-date directory of useful information.
  • Contacting customers to follow up on enquiries
  • Stay up to date with course information and liaise with colleagues in other areas to answer customer queries and update information.
  • Support key functions across the College to contact applicants or students when needed
  • Text messages and key information to groups of students and customers
  • Take messages when necessary and e-mail to the correct contacts
  • Work with the other support teams to correctly signpost enquirers and give correct and up to date information
  • Work with colleagues on both sites to ensure information is passed on and updated
  • Reception duties

As our Customer Service Advisor you'llideally have:

  • Experience of working in an office environment in a customer facing role
  • Experience of delivering high levels of customer service
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Good customer service skills (face to face, email and phone)
  • Ability to maintain complex records with good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Competent use of Microsoft Word and Excel software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good communication skills
  • Appropriate qualification to level 2/3 standard
  • GCSE Maths & English A-C or equivalent
