Careers and Transition Officers we are looking for you in the borough of Hillingdon The role: • Liaise with feeder primary schools to create strong and supportive links. • Play an active role in enhancing the marketing of Rossett School to all feeder primaries. • Lead in the preparation and delivery of the transition process to ensure high levels of satisfaction by all stakeholders. • Attend and play an active role in all transition events. • Support all students starting Year 7, providing clear organisational details for students and parents, as well as ensuring that teaching staff have necessary information to support the learning of students. • Generate and analyse reports and spreadsheets from the schools MIS relating to student academic performance, producing data-driven action plans to improve achievement. • Liaise with subjects to facilitate the implementation of academic support plans. • Provide day-to day support for students in year groups. • Support all aspects of Safeguarding in relation to students in your care. • Identify and engage appropriate Safeguarding support for students, seeking support from the schools Safeguarding Team and writing or co-actioning referrals to partner and outside agencies such as the Early Help Service Childrens Social Care. The School: The school is a co-educational Alternative Provision (AP) that caters for students in the London Borough of Hillingdon who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons, predominantly permanent exclusion. Due to the nature of the provision and the range of students needs, its cohort is transient; students join and leave at different points throughout the school year. The school works with many different groups of pupils over a wide age range including: • Pupils that have been fixed term or permanently excluded from school • Pupils that are at risk of permanent exclusion • Pupils with an identifiable special need which does not require a statement of Special Educational Need e.g. young mums, pupils that are unable to attend school for medical reasons • Pupils requiring education other than at school e.g. disaffected pupils • Pupils who require additional support in school • Students that have moved in Hillingdon and are without an immediate school place For this position we ask that you have previous SIMS experience, similar experience previously and understand AP Enlighte- Inspiring the next generation Requirements: Full teaching qualification If UK/EU trained must hold QTS Two education based references Enhanced DBS which is registered on the update service Right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship If you are interested in this role or any others Apply now
